New bike day! 2021 Yeti ARC custom build

New bike day - the best day in a biker’s life and sometimes it recurs! Over, and over! Mine came about again in July when my long-awaited Yeti Cycles ARC frame FINALLY arrived after having placed the order back in October 2020.

As with my Yeti SB150, I chose to do a custom build from a frameset. I went for a semi-dream build focusing on durability and serviceability above all else. This is what my build consists of:

Fork: MRP Ribbon SL Boost 130mm with decals from Slik Graphics
Wheelset: DT Swiss XR1501 SPLINE ONE 29", 25mm IW, Boost, centerlock, Microspline+ 54t ratchet upgrade (These will later be upgraded to 30mm NXT29XMA35 Nextie carbon rims)
Drivetrain: Shimano XT M8100 12-speed with 10-51t cassette and Problem Solvers adapter to mount the shifter onto Sram brakes, AluGear oval chainring, XTR M9100 chain
Brakes: Sram Guide RS + Shimano MT800 discs, 180mm front / 160mm rear
Cockpit: OneUp Carbon handlebar 760x35mm with 20mm rise, OneUp EDC top cap, Easton Heaven 50x35mm stem, OneUp turquoise grips, Raceface Turbine-R dropper remote orange
Seatpost: Crankbrothers Highline 3 31.6x180mm
Crankset: Sram X01 GXP Carbon 175mm with decals from Become-Unique.pt
